I need a mediator!

The first step is for us to have a  courtesy, no obligation discussion to determine if you want to use our services. You can start by contacting us using any one of these five methods:

We will speak as soon as possible and determine the next steps. This is a free, no-obligation, confidential call. We can set up mediation pretty quickly after you take the first step.

About Mediation

Mediation is a discussion between two or more participants to resolve a dispute or disagreement, or to come to an agreement on some issues between the participants. Most often there is a court case involved. If you can come to an agreement in mediation, you likely will not need to go to court.

The mediation discussion itself is generally held in one or more meetings each lasting from 2-4 hours. In the past these meetings were held in person – nowadays these meetings are usually held online. Each meeting is called a “session”. Most often, only one session is needed.

During the mediation session, the issues are discussed.  If any agreements are reached, these are written down in a document (most usually a Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU) which is then signed by the participants, and becomes a legal agreement between them.

Denver Mediation Services provides standard professional mediation services to individuals and businesses, both inside and outside of Colorado. Denver Mediation Services handles all the administration. If you wish to use our services, here are all the steps.

  1. We will first talk to you privately for about 15 minutes to  what is to be discussed in mediation. This is a free courtesy call.
  2. If you agree that we are to be your mediator, then we will talk to the other participant(s) to see if they agree, and to learn their side of the situation.
  3. Once everyone has agreed, we will handle some online administration and we will send out invoices for our fee. You are not committed until you pay the fee. We always quote a single fee, including everything.
  4. We will schedule the mediation session.
  5. All of the above can occur in as short as 24 hours.
  6. We will hold the mediation session. If any agreement is reached, We will document it and send it out for online signature to the participants. Once everyone has signed, we will send a fully-signed copy to the participants.
  7. If you need to file anything with the court, one of the participants must do that. Mediators are not allowed to file anything on your behalf.
